Crowd Can’t Get Enough When 10-Year-Old Powerhouse Belts Out ‘Never Enough’ at BGT

Walking onto the “Britain’s Got Talent” stage in her floral dress and white tights, Souparnika Nair looked like your typical 10-year-old. But when the music began, she sang far beyond her years and brought the entire audience to its feet.

As one of the youngest people backstage, Souparnika — you can call her “Sou” — was nervous. It probably didn’t help her nerves when Simon interrupted her first song, “The Trolley Song” and requested she instead sings “Never Enough” from “The Greatest Showman.”

Souparnika delivered. As the music began, she gathered herself, took a breath, and unleashed an exhilarating performance, belting out high notes that brought the audience and all four judges to their feet.

“That is a mountain of a song, and you conquered it,” David said before casting the first “yes” vote. Alesha praised her “old-fashioned voice” as she and Amanda added their votes. Simon added the fourth “yes,” telling Souparnika, “You absolutely nailed it. You’re a gutsy little thing.”
