Wrongly-Incarcerated Man Performs Emotional Audition on America’s Got Talent

Television programs like America’s Got Talent have contestants that have enthralling backstories. While some may make you laugh, others can bring you to tears. Archie Williams’ story is one you’ll never forget.

At just 22 years old, Archie was arrested and incarcerated for a crime he didn’t commit. Thanks to DNA evidence and testing, he was freed 37 years later. During his time behind bars, the innocent man would spend his time watching America’s Got Talent.

His dreams came true the day he was able to step on the stage and perform for the appreciative audience. Singing “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me,” Archie quickly showed that he had every ounce of talent needed to make it far on the hit show.

The emotionally-charged performance had all of the judges glossy-eyed. Simon Cowell fights off tears as he tells Williams’ that his act is one that he will never forget as long as he lives. We hope now, Williams can live the life he always dreamt of living.
