It’s not unusual for someone to win a talent show like The Voice, only to fade out of the spotlight. Winner Todd Tilghman didn’t let that happen to him and continues to make heart-melting covers.
Tilghman’s rendition of the iconic worship song, “I Can Only Imagine,” is one for the ages. His voice is smooth and perfectly melodic for the MercyMe original. While the song debuted in the late 1990s, Todd’s version sounds modern and refreshing.
The powerful words paint a beautiful picture that allows listeners to imagine what it’s like to meet their savior finally. Words like, ‘Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel? Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of You be still?”
The Team Blake contestant was given the ultimate prize when he was deemed the winner of his season of the voice. Even though he performed several amazing songs, we can’t get enough of his performance of “I Can Only Imagine.”
