Fine Young Cannibals “She Drives Me Crazy” – Addictive ’80s Alt-Rock

Birmingham rockers, the Fine Young Cannibals, had a long successful career spanning many innovative, impactful alt-rock and new wave hits. However, the song “She Drives Me Crazy” was the track that drew the most attention, being remembered to this day for its catchy sound.

Fine Young Cannibals came up with a hit that global audiences loved, charting globally with their 1988 hit “She Drives Me Crazy.” The dance track captured the best of the ‘80s, while at the same time creating an impact with the strange vocal styling.

“She Drives Me Crazy” may have been their first hit in the US, but they soon landed another catchy single called “Good Thing.” Still, it could never compare to the instantly recognized dance hit that preceded it.

It wasn’t only the music that was a smash hit. Both music videos made for this track also reached massive levels of popularity, even receiving a nomination for “Best Video” at the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards.
