An unusual group of talented musicians can be a gold mine for fun and exciting new arrangements of compositions we all know. 12 Cellists certainly reinforce the factor of unusualness.

The group 12 Cellists is a combination of some of the most talented cellists of the world that regularly perform with the alma-mater of philharmonic orchestras, the Berlin Philharmonics.

Their impressive talents were on show in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory in Moscow, Russia. In this hour-long concert of classical music, the 12 Cellists decided to have some fun.

Who would have thought that Henry Mancini’s jazz composition ‘Pink Panther’ could become a showstopper for these imaginative performers? The cheeky playfulness bedazzled the audience.

And while the cello is an incredibly versatile instrument the 12 Cellists ran out of expressionistic options. By the end of the tune, they decided to rather whistle the ‘Pink Panther’ to its life.
